See It, Saw It....


Seen this beautiful example of type painted on an old garage door and couldn't resist it.
It was done some time in the 40s-60s by the look of it.

    ditto great blog,
    there is plenty of great typography in Digbeth, unfortunately for not much longer as the whole area gets slowly demolished. There are a couple of garage doors (one is near by South Birmingham College/BarFly), which have typography printed onto shutters in "Concertina Fold"-style. They look fantastic as the typographic is changing while you pass by, they look a bit like the above samples of typo.
